Project Overview
Being submerged in chlorinated water for seven hours a day was dramatically impacting Margie’s health. Margie reports losing all her body hair – including her eyelashes – as well as suffering from two bouts of pneumonia in the three years following the opening of her swim school. The purpose-built 12 x 6-metre indoor pool caters for swimmers with specific challenges, disabilities or special needs. It, therefore, needs to provide a safe, welcoming, non-toxic space. Yet the overpowering smell and feel of chlorine was impacting the whole swimming experience.
Margie’s husband Shane carried out intensive market research to come up with an alternative. He kept coming back to Hydroxypure. The innovative sanitisation system was installed at Margie’s Swim School in April 2016 and the couple has never looked back.
